“I’d say go for it. Female-identifying engineers are still in the minority, but the team here are so supportive, no matter who you are. They really encourage me to push myself and make the most out of every opportunity. So, I’m gaining lots of experience, but also a lot more confidence. I’ve worked on a variety of customer-facing projects, and with different teams – and I’ve had some great feedback. With some of my placements, I’ve been asked to stay on a little bit longer, or return for future work. So, I feel really valued and respected. My apprenticeship has opened up so many avenues for me and I’ve grown so much since I started. And that’s partly down to the support and encouragement from everyone I’ve worked with.”
